Some of the Youth Group came out to help Mrs. Carol Dymond with yard work.

The youth ministry, Living Stones Youth Ministry, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church exists in order to assist parents in teaching their children the gospel of Christ, who they are in Christ, disciplining young people with the purpose of aiding them in growing in their knowledge and personal experience of God in their daily lives, walking in victory through the indwelling Holy Spirit, the meaning of servant-hood, and providing practical application and opportunities to live out these truths.

Our name, Living Stones, comes from 1 Peter 2:4-5—“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”Marion Christian Missionary Alliance Church

The youth ministry offers the following opportunities for students in grades seven through twelve:

Sunday School (9:30 a.m.)

This class meets downstairs near the fellowship hall. They are currently studying Paul’s letter to the Romans. Teachers are Jamie Walters and Lisa Burgess.

Wednesday night youth group (6:00-8:15 p.m.)

Living Stones meet for snacks, Bible study, game time every Wednesday night.

Every first and third Friday of each month we meet for an evening of games or outings.

Every January 22nd, on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, the Living Stones travel to the nation’s capital to participate in the pro-life march in order to take an active stand against the murder of unborn children.

Opportunities for practical service, either locally or outside our community, are planned or taken for experiences in evangelism and discipleship in obedience to Jesus’ Great Commission.

Marion Christian Missionary Alliance ChurchThe Living Stones actively participate in the gathering, organizing, and packing of materials in shoe boxes in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse for the annual, worldwide distribution of gospel tracts and gifts for children in poor and needy countries.

Attendance at the Christian and Missionary Alliance camp each June is encouraged, and this year six of our young people attended.
